Developing Pakistan’s Energy Infrastructure

The Company's Steel business comprises of a pipe manufacturing plant, pipe coating facility, an engineering unit providing machinery fabrication and a billet manufacturing unit.

For over three decades Crescent Steel and Allied Products Limited (CSAPL) has been the industry leader in Pakistan for large diameter Submerged Arc Welded Helical Seam (SAWH) carbon steel pipes manufacturing and its anti – corrosion and flow efficient coatings and has supplied over 10,000 km of quality line pipes to the national energy transmission network.

The pipe manufacturing facility produces SAWH pipes in diameters ranging from 8.625 to 120 inches, in thicknesses up to 1 inch and in steel grades up to API 5L X-100 or equivalent. The external coating plant applies various flow efficient and corrosion protection coatings such as Multi-Layer Polyolefin coatings, Single Layer Fusion Bonded Epoxy coatings, Liquid Epoxy coatings and High Temperature Tape coatings on steel pipes ranging from 4 to 84 inches. Our internal coating setup applies coatings on steel pipes, for transmission and distribution of pipeline systems of oil, gas and water sectors, in diameters ranging from 8 to 60 inches.

Operating under the steel segment are two other units. The engineering unit has the capability to fabricate and erect reliable, quality machinery for the sugar, cement, food and steel industry. Hadeed, the billet manufacturing unit’s principal activity is to manufacture and sale steel billets through a steel melting plant.

The pipe manufacturing and coating facilities are located approximately 105 km from Karachi Port in Nooriabad, Sindh. The engineering unit is located in Faisalabad, Punjab and the billet manufacturing unit is located in Jhang, Punjab.
