Assistant Engineer Mechanical Maintenance

This position is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive operational and mechanical functions of equipment and machines within the steel division, including routine repair and maintenance activities. Standard (not exhaustive) requirements of the position are listed below:

Job Description

  1. Carry out maintenance of equipment's such as hydraulic pumps, valves and cylinders, air compressors, gas/diesel engines, pneumatic systems, bearings/gear machineries, overhead cranes, etc.
  2. Develop, execute, and implement plans and strategies for preventive maintenance activities of overall plant, machinery, and utilities to reduce the incidence of breakdowns.
  3. Ensure continuous smooth running of equipment and machines and utilize computerized maintenance management or similar system for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance planning and execution.
  4. Carry out conditional monitoring and vibration analysis of the plant.
  5. Manage, supervise, and train the team with respect to routine maintenance activities.
  6. Ensure compliance with HSE and QMS policies and procedures.
  7. Maintain records of the maintenance activities being carried out and prepare reports.
