This position is responsible to oversee the comprehensive operational and mechanical functions of equipment and machines within the steel division, including routine repair and maintenance activities. Standard (not exhaustive) requirements of the position are listed below

Job Description

  1. Carry out maintenance of equipment's including hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders; air compressors; gas and diesel engines; pneumatic systems; bearings and gear machinery; and overhead cranes.
  2. Develop, execute and implement plans and strategies for preventive maintenance of overall plant, machinery and utilities to reduce the incidence of breakdowns.
  3. Ensure continuous smooth running of equipment and machines and utilize computerized maintenance management or similar system for preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance planning and execution.
  4. Carryout conditional monitoring and vibration analysis of the plant.
  5. Manage, supervise and train the team with respect to routine maintenance activities.
  6. Ensure compliance with HSE and QMS policies and procedures.
  7. Maintain records of the maintenance activities being carried out and prepare reports.
